Research:  Her research interests include finding in vitro antimicrobial synergy against multi drug resistant organisms and correlating them with the efficacy in patients.  The title of her project is Antimicrobial synergy against MDR-Acinetobacter baumannii.  Her research mentors are Preeti Pancholi, PhD and Julie Mangino, MD

Research:   Her research interests included Anti-leishmanial activities of the Azole antifungals and Characterization of a Trypanosoma Cruzi associated factor with antimicrobial propertiesDr Reddy's Research Mentor was Dr Brad McGwire.

 

Publications and Presentations:  Dr. Reddy's presentation at the 2006 IDSO meeting entitled "Leprosy presenting as Immune Reconstruction Syndrome."  won fiirst place

Co-author of an abstract entitled "Antimicrobial Peptide Resistance By Leishmania: A Novel Function For The Surface Metalloprotease and Its Implications For The Design Of Surface Active Chemotherapeutics”,  presented at the 45th Annual ICAAC meeting in 2005.

Dr. Young will be staying at OSU next year as a clinical instructor.  He will be continuing his research and completing his Masters of Public Health degree.

Research:  His research interests lie in antibiotic resistance and public health.  His project title is, "The Prevalence and Epidemiology of Fluoroquinolone-Resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae in Franklin County, Ohio."  Dr. Young's mentors are Susan Koletar, MD, and Kurt Stevenson, MD,MPH. 

Punblications and Presentations:  New England Journal of Medicine, Volume 353 (14) entitled, "Infliximab and Reactivation Toxoplasmosis." October 6, 2005.  
Dr. Young's presentation at the 2005 IDSO meeting " An Unusual CNS Lesion." won first place and his presentation at the 2006 meeting entitled "A Rare Cause of FUO in a Resident of Ohio"  won second place.
