Nick Rotondo

Optometric Management Magazine

After a teleconference with the publisher's representative, Nick Rotondo began his research. How does one illustrate the virtual dispensing of eyewear directly to the consumer via the Internet? He had one week to email a composite to the magazine art director.

Nick studied various websites from New York to Paris to Rome to gather information regarding the latest eyewear trends. Then he designed a pair of fashionable frames. Next he created circuit components which he miniaturized and built onto the glasses.

The finished image, as published, was about 6 inches across and incredibly, consisted of more than 750,000 polygons!
