LightWorks Content can take the form of materials, lighting, backgrounds and scenery. It increases the power, value and ease-of-use of rendering applications by enabling users to create accurate images using real-world materials, lights, 3D objects and other Content.
The LWA format is a plug-in mechanism which extends the capabilities of LightWorks-based applications to give designers and engineers access to these high-quality, real-world materials and other visual elements, for increasing the realism of rendered images and helping them to make accurate design and styling choices.
LightWorks Content is distributed to end-users via the LightWorks-User website.
Content creators can be either Independent Content creators creating content for any LWA-Enabled application or software developers using LightWorks-based applications who want to create custom content for their applications. There are two LightWorks products designed specifically for them:
LightWorks Plug-in SDK
The LightWorks Plug-in SDK gives developers the power to create plug-in modules and plug-in shaders to extend the capabilities of LightWorks-based applications.
