SHEFFIELD, UK (26 July 2010) - Lightworks, the world's leading supplier of rendering solutions for developers of advanced 3D computer graphics software, will today reveal new solutions which leverage the latest GPU ray tracing acceleration technology from NVIDIA, the world leader in visual computing technologies and the inventor of the GPU.

A new OptiX based Lightworks product is at the core of these new solutions which will be previewed at this year’s Siggraph Exhibition in Los Angeles. They use the power of the NVIDIA GPU and are built on NVIDIA’s CUDA parallel compute architecture which not only enhances the interactivity of the user experience but also provides significant performance improvements for Lightworks customers. Lightworks are showing this new OptiX based product working with the latest Tesla graphics cards on the Lightworks booth #225 at Siggraph 2010 and on the Rendering Pod on NVIDIA’s booth #717.

A pre-release of these new Lightworks solutions will be available to Lightworks customers in October and a full product release is planned for December 2010.
