LightWorks
7.5 released
The latest release of LightWorks builds upon the product's success within the industry by adding some significant new features, giving software developers the power to create even more valuable applications. Features include:
The LightWorks Real-time product now gives software developers device-independent access to hardware rendering on cards supporting the OpenGL Shading Language or Cg; easy-to-use radiosity makes it easier for users to create high-quality images;
new GUI components have been added for rapid development of user interfaces including interactive light editing, a view manager, enhanced preview geometry, and new shader editors; new shaders in the Architectural and Industrial Toolboxes for highly accurate images; cross-platform plug-in shaders reduce the cost for customers to upgrade their applications.

LightWork
Design continues to work closely with a number of leading
material suppliers and standards organisations to bring
a constantly increasing collection of real-world materials
in the LWA format to users of LWA-Enabled applications.
These materials give users the power to accurately select,
render and specify ranges of real-world content within their
designs.
Recently released material libraries include archives from two of the world's leading manufacturers of quality paints and coatings:
All of these materials - and more - are available for download

about LightWorks |

“LightWorks has added a lot of value to our latest SPIRIT 12 version. The first responses we have received from our users already highlight the very high output-quality, the dramatic improvements in illuminating scenes and the almost boundless possibilities in describing materials, surfaces and attributes. Using the LightWorks GUI Framework made it really easy for our developers to make SPIRIT LWA-Enabled and we are delighted with the finished software.”
Michael Muens, Product Manager at SOFTTECH GmbH
"LightWorks is all you really need to do a great rendering in ArchiCAD. The LightWorks rendering engine reveals subtlety in light and colour that ArchiCAD users have craved for years."
Dwight Atkinson,
author of "LightWorks In ArchiCAD", the universal guide to managing LightWorks rendering in ArchiCAD.
"As a leading innovator in OpenGl development, 3Dlabs pushed to transform the OpenGL Shading Language from a plug-in to a key element of the OpenGL 2.0 core. LightWork Design has supported this evolution and has worked continuously at the forefront of OpenGl Shading Language implementation. LightWorks version 7.5 provides practical solutions for CAD developers who harness the pure power of OpenGL Shading Language."
Randi Rost,
director of developer relations at 3Dlabs.
