Monday 13th March 2017, will signal the beginning of a new chapter in Lightworks’ history, with a much-awaited relocation to new premises at Hillsborough Barracks, Sheffield. This exciting move, brought about by the company’s expansion and a need for a more cohesive and collaborative working space, mirrors the evaluation and diversification of the Lightworks’ product offering.
Traditionally focused on integrating our technology into CAD systems, Lightworks now offers bespoke solutions to companies across multiple sectors; developing plug-in applications; streamlining design workflows with multi-partner collaborations to bring the highest quality visualisation to all departments and disciplines; creating configurators to engage customers at the point-of-sale; undertaking creative design projects, like the Eclipse Aviation jet; and as always integrating our Iray®+ technology into systems and applications.
The exciting new office space is on the site of the former army hospital at Hillsborough Barracks. Built in 1848, the barracks were home to several different regiments, including the 2nd Battalion of the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, until it closed in 1930.
“It’s been great to see Lightworks go from strength to strength with new products and services over the past few years. The new office feels like an extension on this. I’m really looking forward to the team being able to work in such a creative and open space. “
Once we’re in, we’ll being sharing images and renders of the space to see if you can tell whether the content is ‘real or rendered’; giving you the chance to have a nosey around the new office.
