We’re back at Develop3D Live (D3D) this year on 26th March at Warwick University Arts Centre.
At D3D we’ll be showcasing the Iray+ for Autodesk 3ds Max plug-in on Lightworks’ stand 33; the intuitive rendering plug-in, which is now in the final stages of the Beta, due to be released soon, so this is the last chance to check it out before the official launch.
This year we’re proud to be Bronze sponsors of the event, which promises an array of interesting speakers and demonstrations from leading companies in the design, engineering and manufacturing technology industries.
We’re pleased to announce that Lightworks pre-sale consultant Ben Widdowson will be speaking at D3D about “Skyscrapers, sun and simulation: physically based rendering and the infamous 'Deathray'.” His talk will focus on the 525ft ‘Walkie Talkie’ building in London which caused controversy last summer when it melted parts of a Jaguar XJ One; the concave-glass surface reflected the sunlight creating a ‘tractor-beam’ like effect now infamously known as the ‘Deathray’. Ben will review the design and simulation challenges faced by architects and discuss how enhancements in modelling and physically based rendering can help combat these design challenges before it’s too late and save architects millions in costly repairs.
The speech schedule has just been announced; Ben will speaking in the Cinema at Warwick University Arts Centre at 11.40am – he’d love to see you there.
We look forward to meeting you there; register for free on the website.
