Taking part in this year's Siemens PLM Components Innovation Conference

With less than 2 weeks since Siemens announced the takeover of Lightwork Design, it was a pleasure to be invited down to Downing College at Cambridge University to take part in this year's PLM Component Conference.

The Siemens PLM Components Conference is an event allowing companies within the Siemens Open Tools Division to come together, collaborate and share ideas and industries such as CAD, CAM and CAE to name a few. The event comprised of representatives from the likes of Bentley Systems, D-Cubed, Parasolid, Kineo and Hackrod, all providing us with projects they have worked on (or are currently working on) to continue to push the capabilities of PLM systems into the 21st century.

Our very own Chief Technology Officer, Dave Hutchinson, presented the Lightwork Design brand to our new colleagues to showcase our products and the capabilities of our highly skilled team. We wanted to focus on what the Lightwork Design brand stands for, the different products we now have within our portfolio and how these could best serve members of the Siemens PLM Software team. It is fair to say that we received a lot of positive comments from attendees at the event - everyone from CEO's and Strategic Managers of other teams through to enthusiastic engineers engaged with the Lightworks team with regards to all of our products. We're looking forward to exploring these opportunities moving forward!

A big hand needs to go to the Siemens PLM team for putting on such a successful event. The attendees, location, themes and dinner reception in the evening of the first day really helped in creating such a unique event. We're looking forward to the next one!
