Iray+ Material

Iray+ Material is a monolithic shader used to create almost all supplied Iray+ materials. Iray+ Material provides the full range of functionality described on the Material Components page. Use that page as a reference for all material creation except in some exceptional cases where Iray+ Metal and Iray+ Ocean are uniquely suited.

Using Iray+ Material

Iray+ Material can be found in the 3ds Max Material Editor under Materials > Iray+:

By default, a newly-created Iray+ Material has a Matte (Diffuse) Base layer. You can begin adding layers and using the preset dropdown menus to develop your required material appearance.
