Iray for 3ds Max uses existing 3ds Max cameras, so all basic functions of the camera are compatible.
To add a camera to your scene, from the dropdown on the Tool panel under Create > Cameras, select Standard. On the Object Type rollout, select Physical, Target, or Free:
Some of the advanced features of 3ds Max cameras are not supported by Iray or can be found in separate interfaces, for example depth of field settings can be found on the Settings tab.
There is limited supported for the Physical Camera. In particular, simple camera position, target and Field of View (FOV) are supported, but more subtle attributes such as Tilt Correction are not.
